Dehumidification equipment has been used on Navy ships for over 50 years and has been used on re-coating the Navy ship for over 15 years. The Navy, as well as many on ship owners, require the use of dehumidification when their ship is worked on. Under the time constraints that these ship owners have to maintain their ships, dehumidification can be one of the key components of a project to make sure there are no scheduling problems.

For the marine industry, dehumidification can be a benefit to a project by:
- Working on a ship in or out of the water
- Maintain proper conditions inside area to prevent rusting or corrosion to occur
- Be able to work on a project 24 hours a day
- Reduce weather days and morning fog delays
- Temperature control for the workers and/or to apply the coating
- Apply coating across entire area at one time. No blast clean and prime daily
- Blasting and coating water tanks, balcast tanks, mud tanks
- Control humidity in control room
- Give your project the best chance for it to be successful
